Sediments A-Z – EBC Dam Management Coffee Hour

Description

Bring your dam management-related sediment questions, lessons learned, and topics of interest for this EBC Coffee Hour, which provides a platform for EBC members to share insights and knowledge in an informal, conversational setting. This discussion is open to any aspect of sediment management as it relates to dam removal and/or dam rehabilitation, from pre-feasibility studies through construction, including, but not limited to: due diligence studies, sampling (both preliminary and formal sampling in accordance with a MassDEP-approved sampling plan), contaminant analysis, sediment management alternatives, structuring sediment-related bid items for construction, and monitoring sediment movement post-construction. Come join the conversation on this highly relevant and important topic, as sediment management is one of the biggest cost-drivers for dam projects.

Thank you to Adrienne Dunk of GZA, Jill Griffiths of Gomez and Sullivan Engineers, and Josh Wilson of Biohabitats for moderating the discussion. There will be no formal presentations - this meeting is intended to be an open discussion.

EBC Coffee Hours are open to EBC Members only. The intention of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for EBC Members to connect with others and discuss a current issue in the industry. Moderation will be light and all are encouraged to ask questions and provide their thoughts. The meeting will not be recorded.
