EBC Dam Management Regulatory Roundtable with Massachusetts State Agencies

Description

The Environmental Business Council of New England Dam Management Committee invites EBC Members to view a livestream of the fourth annual Regulatory Roundtable on May 21. The in-person meeting is by invitation only and limited to representatives of the agencies involved in regulatory and environmental reviews of dam-related projects in Massachusetts, as well as EBC Dam Management Committee Leadership Team members.

Registration to view the discussion via a Zoom link is available to EBC Members only. Members viewing the livestream cannot ask questions or interact, it is view-only.

About the Meeting: The EBC Dam Management Committee is looking for ways to work within the regulations to balance the protection of habitat and resource areas with the increasing need for maintenance or removal of dams. Given American Rivers’ goal of removing 30,000 dams by 2050, the Committee would like to continue the dialogue between industry and agency so that projects can be better presented for approval, can comply where necessary or utilize exemptions when applicable, and generally streamline the process for both the reviewing agencies and the dam owners.
