JFK Environmental Services LLC (JFK Environmental) is an environmental consulting firm specializing in climate-change adaptation, groundwater and surface-water hydrology, and environmental site assessments and remediation. Our climate-change adaptation experience includes modeling groundwater rise caused by sea-level rise, assessing the impacts of rising groundwater and temperatures on pavement life, sea-level rise and storm-surge inundation mapping, and modeling saltwater intrusion caused by groundwater pumping and/or sea-level rise. JFK Environmental provides services on a contract or subcontract basis to engineering and consulting firms or directly to clients including attorneys, industrial firms, insurance companies, government agencies, and municipalities.

JFK Environmental is a sole proprietorship owned by Jayne F. Knott, Ph.D. and the company has been in business since 2008. Dr. Knott holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Engineering from the University of New Hampshire (UNH), a M.S. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and a B.A. degree in geology and physics from Mount Holyoke College. The company specializes in groundwater flow and transport modeling, climate-change adaptation, pavement design and adaptation, water resources, and water quality. We are currently collaborating with the University of Massachusetts – Boston, School for the Environment; University of New Hampshire Center for Infrastructure Resilience to Climate (UCIRC); the Infrastructure and Climate Network (ICNet); the Environmental Protection Agency; and the NH Coastal Adaptation Workgroup (NH CAW).
