About

New England Hydropower Company, LLC (NEHC) develops, operates, and owns small-scale regional and local hydroelectric facilities in the United States. We provide the renewable energy market with a fresh, environmentally sound, fish-friendly and wildlife-safe approach. Applying over ten years of experience with partners in the UK and Europe, NEHC is the premier developer in the U.S. deploying the Archimedes Screw Turbine (AST) and has recently expanded its project portfolio to include the Voith StreamDiver. Our process includes site evaluation, permitting and public outreach, design and engineering, construction oversight, commissioning and operation. We use local and regional resources during the entire cycle of a project. NEHC supports the missions of states, municipalities, private owners and individual entities with the ultimate goal of developing an alternative, renewable, zero emissions energy resource.
