Palmer Capital Corporation is a privately-held merchant banking firm that develops and finances tax-oriented alternative energy projects. Since 1982 we have arranged non-conventional energy transactions totaling over $2.2 billion in total financings. Palmer seeks projects that offer new market opportunities either through the early adoption of a technology (e.g. landfill gas, waste coal, and biomass gasification) or the aggregation of projects across a fragmented industry (e.g. community wind, dairy biogas, and solar PV). Our primary goal is to add value for our investors by combining these project characteristics with our capital, expertise, and experience.
Palmer, with its affiliated entity, Palmer Management Corporation, provides a multi-faceted team with experience in all aspects of project development. Palmer has expertise in legal and financial analysis, engineering, permitting, accounting and tax credit monetization – skills needed to identify opportunities and barriers, to structure transactions to meet varied demands, to provide capital necessary to develop and close financings, and to manage and operate projects successfully. Depending on the needs of the project, project partners and our investors and lenders, Palmer also may serve as investor, general partner and manager.
