The "State of DEI": An EBC Member Discussion Meeting

Join EBC’s DEI Committee for an informal and open discussion of the “State of DEI”. Companies have implemented advancement programs for minority workers for decades, but the term “DEI” mainstreamed following the 2020 murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor. As diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives have mainstreamed, so has criticism around them.

Valerie Moore, a Partner at the law firm of Nutter McClennen & Fish and Chair of the EBC Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, will moderate the discussion meeting and provide a quick introduction at the outset of the meeting. Following her introduction, attendees are encouraged to ask questions and have dialogue about the “State of DEI” locally and at their own firms, and how it has impacted company DEI efforts.
